About

This course is designed to give you the knowledge, understanding and skills that you need to prepare for employment within the engineering sector. It will appeal to you if you are interested in engineering tasks and how engineering products are designed and made.

  • Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace
  • Specialist mandatory unit: Electrical and Electronic Principles Specialist units
  • Mathematics for engineering operations
  • Mechanical principles and application
  • Engineering Design

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade C/4 or above or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

Equipment and Additional Costs

General stationery including pens, paper, folders, plastic wallets and a calculator. Health and Safety equipment will also be required including steel toe capped boots and overalls.

Cost

Courses are free for 16-18 who have not studied higher than GCSE's, and for 19-24 with an EHCP. Even if you have studied a different course at college or sixth form we may still be able to help. Speak to the admissions team for more information. There maybe free or reduced costs for adults, contact the admissions team to see if you are eligible.
